Job Title: Asset Data Team Operator
Location: Basingstoke / Thatcham
Salary: £21,161 - £27,947 depending on skills and experience
Fixed Term Contract/Secondment | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week
The Asset Data team ensure that the asset records of our underground and overhead electrical equipment, (including Telecoms and Gas networks) are kept up to date. These records are retrieved on screen by our own staff using our Geographical Information System (GIS) and also via the Internet by selected external customers. Due to our commitment to excellent customer service and our continued growth in this area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Data Team Operator to join our team in Basingstoke / Thatcham.
Your role as Asset Data Team Operator will focus on maintaining and delivering network record data using the company software, including external and internal stakeholders. Your role will support the wider team with routine and ad hoc requirements, as well as ensuring efficient running of the department on a day to day basis. Due to the nature of the data held, you will have a keen eye for detail and an ability to produce accurate and quality produce which will also allow you to ensure records are kept entirely up to date and correct. Your understanding and knowledge of geographical mapping will be highly utilised in this role as the duties and responsibilities are wide spanning and interactive with many stakeholders within the business.
Your Skills and Experience
You will have experience using a company GIS system, as well as excellent IT skills including software's CITRIX, Explorer and the Office suite. We would ideally like you to have a solid understanding of our company and the business structure in which we operate, however this is not essential. Likewise, your understanding of electricity networks would be advantageous however not essential as on the job learning will be prevalent.
Having excellent interpersonal skills, you will be capable of building lasting relationships with stakeholders at all levels. As a result of this, you will have first class verbal and written communication skills, being able to convey your position in a clear and concise manner. You will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work quickly, accurately and independently whilst under pressure to highly detailed briefs.
